COMPANY PROFILE AND HISTORY

Consullux Lighting Consultants is a registered Lighting Consulting firm in North America, whose purpose is to provide Lighting Consulting to the design community, developers and end users.

Our Experience:  Consullux consists of lighting designers who have extensive experience in serving Canadian, U.S. and International clients.

Our Location/Ownership:  Located in Toronto, the firm is wholly owned by Crossey Engineering Ltd., a consulting engineering firm that has provided Electrical, Mechanical, Telecommunications and Infastructure Design Services and Commissioning Services for 40 plus years.

Our Awards:  For 20 years, we have received International lighting awards for our creative design and development.  Among these awards are the: Edwin F. Guth Awards of Merit and Awards of Excellence.

Our Affiliations:  We are affiliated with a number of major lighting organizations including:

• IESNA (Illumination Engineering Society of North America).
• IALD (International Association of Lighting Designers).
• NCQLP (National Council on Qualifications for the Lighting Profession).
• Ryerson University:  We instruct Lighting Design in Ryerson's Chang School of Continuing Education.

During the design period, we will work with the design team to offer lighting concepts for various problems.  We require an understanding of the vocabulary and metaphors associated with the design to allow us to participate fully.  We offer solutions to catalogued items or special fixture designs.  We will offer commentary on fixtures shape, colour, scale and how it applies to the application.  We work closely with specialty fixture manufacturers and can source whatever expertise is required for specialty design.
