Toronto Reference Library Revitalization

Toronto, Ontario

Central to Toronto’s Public Library system, the Toronto Reference Library is a hub for information and contains material in over one hundred different languages.

Crossey Engineering provided the electrical, mechanical, and lighting design services for the library’s ongoing revitalization. Funded by the City of Toronto, and both the provincial and federal Canadian government, the project has an approximate construction cost of $34 million.

Required to remain functional while under construction, the renovations to the building include a revitalized gallery space, enhanced research and study areas, and advanced technological installations. Over 140 new Internet connected workstations, as well as large scale digital display devices and projections will be incorporated for public use.
