This was a multi-phased project that provided the entire facility with a new fire alarm distribution system, power distribution system, sprinkler protection, and decentralized H.V.A.C. systems. Considerable attention was given to keeping the modern interference with heritage buildings at an absolute minimum. The plan included design work to raise two of the Fort York buildings to museum standards. Quadrangle Architects Limited between 1986 to 1994, Goldsmith Borgal and Company Architects (GBCA) continued the work from 1995 onward. Complete: 1994 and continue to 1998 Client: Toronto Historical Board and Quadrangle Architects / Goldsmith Borgal and Company Architects
