Chernoff Hall (Queen's University Chemistry) Building: Construction of a new Chemistry Complex began in the fall of 2000. The new building is 150,000 square feet in area. With its front door on Queen's Crescent, the building is located just west of Stirling Hall extending south to Stuart Street. To make way for the new building, demolition of the St. Lawrence Building, the Clinical Education Centre and ten houses on Queen's Crescent and Stuart Street was necessary. The new Chemistry building is five storeys and provides teaching and research labs, classroom facilities and faculty and administrative offices. Once the Chemistry Department relocated to the new building, Frost Wing was demolished and Gordon Hall and Annex was renovated. Completion Date: Summer 2002 Architect: Brisbin Brook Beynon Architects
