Working with the design group Gruen has developed a conceptual design to meet LEED Silver. Gruen has lead the energy analysis simulations and incorporated, high efficiency lighting, condensing boilers, in-floor heating and cooling, heat recovery on exhaust air, demand ventilation, day lighting, and an efficient building envelope. Energy simulations show a 45% efficiency beyond the requirements of the National Energy Code.

Gruen's expertise is in coordination energy efficient design in all aspects of building development, including coordinating envelope performance with mechanical heating / cooling systems, lighting systems with occupancy and day lighting savings, and ensuring that design for indoor air quality is achieving the highest levels at the best possible efficiency rating.
