Position Profile

We are searching for a Revit/BIM specialist for the Electrical Engineering department. CEL's priority is to lead the way in 3D building modeling and BIM. This position will encompass the implementation and support of the Revit transition from our current AutoCAD system.

Responsibilities

• Develop system requirements from consultations with the electrical engineering department
• Produce project implementation schedules
• Document the Electrical Revit and BIM company standards and procedures
• Develop training programs for electrical department employees
• Monitor the performance of Revit and BIM operations including maintaining element libraries and standards
• Research, recommend and implement enhancements to the systems
• Prepare for future Revit and BIM upgrades

Qualifications

• Experience in the configuration and customization of the Revit and BIM application
• Experience in producing Revit and BIM models
• Familiarity with other BIM tools such as Navisworks for clash detection and 4D scheduling
• Familiarity with programming tools and working with Microsoft SQL Server or other database management systems
• Proficient oral and written English communications skills
• Proficient documentation and project management skills
• Ability to provide outstanding support and training to users
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD/AutoLISP is an asset
• A background in electrical engineering or electrical design is an asset
